However, some of these liquid crystal displays and digitizers do not have a pixel layer to display the data. This means that if you are typing on a tablet and move your finger off of one of the pixels, the data displayed will not change.

While most digitizers use a pixel to display the data, the ones that do not also have a liquid layer. So when you are writing on the screen, the digitizer needs to draw on the liquid crystal layer to make the display change. When the display is touched, then the screen will change colors to reflect the signal that was just sent.

As you can see, the digitizers and screens that do not have a liquid crystal layer do not change colors when touched. They can be placed right next to the display or even on top of it. They do not have the ability to change the colors to reflect the signal that is being sent. Instead, the signal will appear as a solid color on the display. Most people do not like this feature of these screens and digitizers.

So what does this mean for the S Pen? Well, the S Pen is not going to be able to change the colors of the display to reflect what is being typed on the screen.

The reason that it is not able to do this is because there is a limit to how much information you can store onto the S Pen before it has to draw on the digitizer to show the data. However, once the data is stored on the device, it can be changed to reflect the user's input any way that you want it to.

To change the colors of the display, all you need to do is hold down the S Pen and then press the home key several times. This will bring up the contextual menu.
